Sea Hawk Hawk Epoxy C5 Clear Finish Catalyst is part of the Hawk Epoxy system and is specifically formulated for applications where clarity and appearance are important.
When combined with Hawk Epoxy R1 Resin, C5 produces a very clear epoxy system suitable for fiberglass cloth and clear coating applications, while providing exceptional moisture-barrier characteristics.
C5 is particularly suited for natural wood and carbon fiber clear-coat applications. Its no-blush formulation helps produce a clean, clear cured surface and is especially useful where the underlying material or reinforcement is intended to remain visible.
The catalyst also provides longer working times in very warm temperatures, allowing additional application time before the epoxy begins to cure.
C5 Clear Finish Catalyst mixes with R1 Resin at a 3:1 ratio by volume. Sea Hawk's color-coded Hawk Epoxy sizing system helps ensure the appropriate resin and catalyst quantities are paired together.

Hawk Epoxy's color-coded system is available in three corresponding system sizes. Sea Hawk specifies selecting the same System Size for both the R1 Resin and C5 Catalyst for proper product utilization.
Any of the six Hawk Epoxy fillers can be used with combinations of Hawk Epoxy Resin and Catalysts to modify the epoxy for different applications.
