Kabosh ActivStrip Plus is an industrial-strength, water-based paint and coating remover designed for commercial applications involving multiple layers of paint and complex coating systems.
ActivStrip Plus can remove up to 20 layers of paint in a single application and stays wet and active for 24+ hours in most situations. When covered, it can remain active for up to 72+ hours, allowing larger areas to be stripped without having to continually reapply the product. It can be used on both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
The low-VOC formula is non-flammable, non-caustic, and nearly odor-free. ActivStrip Plus is formulated without methylene chloride, NMP, methanol, acetone, or caustic chemicals. Its neutral-pH formula requires no neutralizer after stripping.

Application
ActivStrip Plus is ready to use — do not dilute. Stir lightly before application.
For best results, rinse or power wash the substrate before application. Remove dirt, loose debris, and loose coatings and allow the surface to dry.
Apply with a brush or airless paint sprayer, completely covering the surface. Apply approximately 1/16" to 1/8" thick. Thicker or industrial coating systems may require a heavier application.
Once the coating has softened, remove it with a paint scraper. Detailed areas may require a brass or stiff-bristle brush. Remaining residue can be removed with ActivStrip Residue Wash.

Two-part epoxies, two-part urethanes, and powder coatings may require longer dwell times.
Actual removal times may vary depending on coating type, film thickness, and temperature. Some applications may require up to 24 hours. If removal is unsuccessful after 24 hours, allow the product to remain covered for an additional 12–24 hours to help avoid a second application.
Application Temperature
For best results, apply between 50°F and 80°F.
ActivStrip Plus may be applied between 40°F and 90°F.
Do not apply below 35°F to avoid freezing.
Indoor & Outdoor Use
Indoor Applications: Unless exposed to high heat or significant air movement, ActivStrip Plus normally does not need to be covered and will remain active for approximately 24–36+ hours.
Outdoor Applications: For optimum results, cover ActivStrip Plus with plastic or laminated paper after application.
Airless Spray Application
ActivStrip Plus can be applied using an airless sprayer.
- Minimum pump: 1.00 GPM
- Pressure: 2500–3000 PSI
- Hose: 3/8"
- Tip: 523 or 525
- Remove all filters from the sprayer and airless gun
- Use only new hose
- Flush hose lines and sprayer thoroughly each day with warm water and dish detergent
Coverage
Up to 40–50 sq. ft. per gallon
Actual coverage will depend on the coating system, number of layers, required application thickness, and substrate conditions.

Clean-Up
Clean applicators and equipment with detergent and water.
Do not store or collect remover or waste in metal containers. Use plastic containers only. Dispose of waste in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
